Let’s Talk Art -November
The Let’s Talk Art meeting is Thursday
November 7, 2019 from 10:00am to
12:00pm at the Mohave County Library
– 1100 Hancock Rd, Bullhead City and is
open to the public.
Our Guest Artist will be RVAG’s V.P.
Dorothy Campbell who will teach us
how to create colorful coasters.
Although there will be some colored
permanent markers available, please
bring you own if you have them. All
other materials will be provided. This is
bound to be fun!
There will be a raffle. Jack Lewis who
faithfully donates one of his amazing
hand turned bowls monthly will also
have a bowl for us to vie for. His bowls
usually sell between $50 and $60 which
means your $5 raffle ticket not only
helps fund the Guild’s mission but also
makes Jack feel good about donating his
time, materials, and expertise in support
of the Guild.
You do not have to be present to win
Jack’s bowl. If you cannot be at the
meeting but would like to purchase a
raffle ticket for Jack’s bowl, send your
$5 with a friend. Be sure to have your
friend put your name and phone
number on the ticket!
Earnings from Jacks donation and our
other raffle items help support the
Guild’s mission, so please bring cash!
Don’t forget your newest piece for Show
and Tell! It’s always a pleasure seeing
what you’ve created.
Can’t wait to see you there…
October’s Let’s Talk Art meeting was short but eventful!!
Georgia Craig demonstrated how to cut a sing and a double matt using the SinplexPlus #750 mat cutter.
Although there were a couple of interested people, the mat cutter remains the property of the Guild
which means it is still up for grabs. Phone or email us if owning your very own mat cutter appeals to
Along with one of Jack Lewis’s marvelous hand turned bowls—which was kept secret until the drawing,
there were items to be raffled off. A huge thank you to Jack who single handily brings in money monthly
and to those who always manage to have something to offer to the raffle and of course to All of You
who purchase tickets.
All the earnings from the raffles go to help support the Guild’s mission.
See you next month on Thursday, November 7th
